Anthropic Launches Claude Design, a Visual Collaboration Tool in Research Preview
Anthropic launched Claude Design, a research-preview product powered by Claude Opus 4.7 that lets Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers collaborate with Claude to create designs, prototypes, slides, and other visual work. Enterprise organizations require administrator activation to enable access.
Anthropic announced the launch of Claude Design, a new Anthropic Labs product that enables users to create polished visual work such as designs, prototypes, slides, and one-pagers through collaboration with Claude. The tool runs on the Claude Opus 4.7 vision model and is available in research preview for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers.
During onboarding, Claude can automatically generate a design system by reading a team’s codebase and design files, applying brand colors, typography, and components to subsequent projects. Users can start designs from text prompts, uploaded images and documents, or web captures, then refine them through conversation, inline comments, direct text edits, and custom adjustment sliders. Designs can be kept private or shared organization-wide with view or edit permissions, and exported to Canva, PDF, PPTX, or standalone HTML.
Claude Design also supports handoff to Claude Code via a bundled package for implementation. For Enterprise plans, the feature is off by default and must be enabled by admins in organization settings. Early adopters including Brilliant and Datadog reported significantly faster prototyping and seamless transitions from design to production, while Canva highlighted an integration to import Claude Design drafts for further editing.
